JobKeeper Payment for Business Participant
Businesses that meet the required tests can receive payments for one eligible business participant.
Business participation requirements are satisfied if the individual is actively engaged in the business carried on by the entity and:
- If the entity is a sole trader the individual must be the entity. If so go to https://www.ato.gov.au/General/JobKeeper-Payment/Sole-traders-and-other-entities/#Soletrader to apply
- If the entity is a partnership the individual must a partner in the partnership.
- If the entity is a trust the individual must be an adult beneficiary of the trust
- If the entity is a company the individual must be a shareholder in or a director of the company

Compliance and audit activities will be conducted by the ATO to ensure these amounts are passed on the employees, including utilising reporting such as Single Touch Payroll.
