Eligible employers need to pay their employees first and then get reimbursed by the ATO in arrears. The first payment will be received by employers from the ATO in the first week of May.

For example if an employee earns $500 per fortnight but is receiving $1,500 jobkeeper it is up to the employer if they want to pay superannuation contributions on the additional $1,000.
